Vegetable Seeds Supply Specialist
In this position, you will be responsible for the market-based demand by translating the market needs to the product supply organization to ensure supply is being prepared in accordance with the commercial region’s needs, priorities and following up on this. The specialist represents the Supply Planning team and is in close collaboration with the Inventory Specialist team, Quality Ensurance team, Plant Operations, Customer Service and the Commercial organization. Strong communication skills and a data driven mindset will enable you to provide clear supply visibility to the whole organization through cross-functional meetings.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accountable for providing visibility to Inventory Specialist on the market requirements’ (quantities, treatments, packages) & replenishment strategy in partnership with Commercial
- Representing supply by providing updates and supply visibility to the commercial region
- Participate actively in the monthly S&OP meetings by sharing supply information and ensuring that actions are in place to secure business priorities & financial targets from supply perspective
- Responsible for timely response & action for Salesforce.com cases assigned by the Customer Interface team
- In collaboration with the Inventory Specialist, ensuring that all prepacked stock is always adhering to market standards with respect to quality. Keeping batch notes up to date to ensure selling conditions are correctly given to Customer Interface for sub-standard seed.
- Coordinate local sample requirements with the Inventory Specialist and the local commercial teams
- Responsible for requesting label approvals and coordinate re-labeling of packed seed when required
- Maintain and communicate by local authorities required seed health & disease tests (in cooperation with Trade & Compliance)

WHO YOU ARE
You can easily work under pressure, conforming to changing demands with good interpersonal skills. You are able to motivate yourself and maintain a positive attitude, with the desire to be an integral contributor to the completion of organizational projects and goals. And you also have:
- A Bachelor or master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Agricultural Management or similar field.
- Experience in supply chain, planning, logistics, customer service or operations
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- You have attention to detail, are very well organized and accurate.
- Works pro-actively while participating needs of the team and initiating actions to provide solutions
- Works effectively with teams and networks across geographic, political, demographic, functional and other cultural and organizational projects and goals
- Feels comfortable with unexpected changes and can react quickly
- Basic Excel skills is and knowledge of SAP is a plus
