Locations in the Benelux
Bayer has very different activities at different locations: from R & D to production and Sales & Marketing. Our Belgian facilities are located in Diegem, Brussels and Antwerp. In the Netherlands you can find us in Mijdrecht, Maastricht, Amsterdam, Wageningen, Bergschenhoek and Enkhuizen.
In 2009, Bayer opened a state of the art office building in Diegem. Here, around 300 employees work in our sales organisations for the divisions Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Health, Crop Science and the business unit Animal Health and in support and corporate services.
The Antwerp site was founded in 1966. Since that date crop protection products are produced here for the European market. About 700 colleagues work in Antwerp.
Bayer has two offices in Brussels to manage our relations with the European regulatory authorities.
In Mijdrecht, over 300 employees work for the Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Health and Crop Science divisions and the Animal Health business unit, particularly in the field of marketing, sales, customer services, registration and support services.
In Maastricht, there are over 100 employees working in sales, distribution and maintenance of radiology equipment. The Radiology business unit is the global sector leader in radiology (contrast media, equipment, informatics).
Amsterdam is a site from which over 250 employees support customers throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. With more than 40 nationalities, it is a very internationally oriented office.
In Bergschenhoek, around 400 employees are passionately working on the development of new vegetable seed varieties that can grow into high-quality and nutritious products. The site consists of seven greenhouses for research, breeding and testing activities, a seed processing plant, quality control and research laboratories and the headquarters for our vegetable seed division in Europe, the Middle East and the African region.
The site in Enkhuizen focuses on the processing, packaging and shipping of vegetable seeds. From here, many packages travel all over the world. Approximately 130 colleagues work here.
Approximately 70 employees work in Wageningen on breeding programs for vegetable crops that grow in the open field, such as cauliflower, broccoli, carrots and many other delicious vegetables.
